Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
· Development and support of GCP-based KMS, including scripting automation.
· Provides hands on engineering expertise for in-GCP SecuPi infrastructure, including Management Server and enforcers/agents.
· Streamlines installation and BAU tasks via automation and process enhancements.
· Provide engineering support for systems security including ssh keys and certificates renewals.
· Embraces mentorship and training from senior engineers.
· Provides continuous improvement ideas to reduce expenses and/or improve efficiency.
· Applies recommended information security standards when installing and maintaining software and seeks to validate.
· Contributes to technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts for systems support.
Required Qualifications:
· Ability to perform design, installation, performance testing, patching, trouble shooting and daily engineering support of a database activity monitoring software.
· Knowledge of industry best practices for designing, implementing, and maintaining database activity monitoring tools.
· Familiarity with SecuPi database activity monitoring software.
· Proficient knowledge developing all forms of reporting, alerting and SIEM integration.
· 4+ years working in a large-scale IT organization. Ability to work within a formal Change Control system (planning, documenting, scheduling, and implementing).
· Employs detailed knowledge of major database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2/UDB, CloudSQL.
· Employs detailed knowledge of major OS platforms such as Windows, Unix/Linux.
· Strong knowledge of GCP, Helm charts, Kubernetes/distributed GKE, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines and terraforming scripts.
· Experience with Ansible and/or automation tools.
· Optional – deploying and supporting HSM.
· Ability to work independently, leading meetings with application and development teams discovering and documenting detailed requirements.
· Ability to plan, coordinate and implement monitoring tools and agents installations.
