Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced WCS developer to join our dynamic development team. The successful candidate will actively participate in and lead design sessions, develop new features, and support the expansion of a global B2B eCommerce platform for a Fortune 50 company. This role offers the opportunity to play a leadership role in delivering high-quality software artifacts and ensuring adherence to best practices and software development life cycle (SDLC) standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement features for a global eCommerce website.
  • Create conceptual and detailed technical design documents.
  • Provide accurate and timely estimates, including work breakdown schedules.
  • Document and execute unit and integration tests.
  • Define and implement standards and best practices for software development.
  • Participate in code review sessions as a coordinator, owner, reader, recorder, or observer.
  • Collaborate with other IT departments to meet shared requirements and project needs.
  • Offer 3rd-level application support for production-installed components.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance at the assigned workplace.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 4 years of experience in Web and UI development using HTML, JavaScript, React, and CSS.
    • At least 4 years of experience developing in a distributed application environment.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience as a development lead on major projects.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Java, EJB, JMS, JSP, Web Services, SOAP, and XML technologies.
    • Experience working with at least one major database (DB2, MS SQL, or Oracle).
    • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts with applied UML experience.
  • Project Leadership:
    • Proven experience leading at least one project through a formal software development lifecycle.
  • Additional Skills (Preferred):
    • Exposure to WebSphere Commerce Suite (WCS) is a plus.
